How we verify our lawyers
Entrusting your legal problem to a firm is an important decision. That is why we want you to know who will be in charge of your case: every lawyer at Letrados.mx holds a verifiable professional license and has the right experience to assist you.
Verifiable professional license
Each member of our team holds a professional license (cédula profesional) that is verifiable in the National Registry of Professionals (Registro Nacional de Profesionistas) of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP). You can carry out this check yourself on the official site: https://www.cedulaprofesional.sep.gob.mx/. There you can confirm that the person holds a Law degree (Licenciado en Derecho) or its equivalent and the license authorizing them to practice the profession in Mexico.
What we review for each team member
Before a lawyer becomes part of our firm, we confirm:
- Valid license: that the license exists, corresponds to their identity and qualifies them for professional practice.
- Experience: their track record and their handling of matters similar to those they will attend to.
- Specialization: the areas of law in which they work, so that each case can be assigned to whoever can best resolve it.
Why the license matters
The professional license is the minimum guarantee that the person advising you has studied and is legally authorized to practice law in Mexico. By working with Letrados.mx you have the certainty that your case is handled by a duly accredited lawyer, and not by someone without the training or the backing that the law requires.
You can confirm it yourself
We encourage transparency. If at any point you wish to confirm the license of the lawyer handling your case, we will gladly share their number so you can verify it directly through the SEP link. We want you to work with us with complete peace of mind.
