Privacy Notice

This Comprehensive Privacy Notice is issued in compliance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP, Mexico's federal data protection statute), its Regulations, and the Privacy Notice Guidelines in force in the United Mexican States.

1. Identity and address of the data controller

Letrados.mx (hereinafter, "Letrados.mx", "the firm", "we" or "the controller") is a law firm responsible for the processing and protection of your personal data. For any matter related to this notice or to your data, you may contact us at the email address contacto@letrados.mx, which is our official channel for privacy matters.

2. Personal data we collect

In order to handle your inquiry and provide you with our legal services, we may collect the following personal data:

• Full name.
• Email address.
• Phone number.
• Location (city and state).
• Description of the legal matter you wish to raise.

We do not deliberately collect sensitive personal data; however, the description of your legal matter could contain sensitive information that you provide voluntarily. We ask that you include only the information necessary to handle your case.

3. Primary purposes of processing

Your personal data will be used by the firm for the following purposes necessary for the service you request:

• For our lawyers to handle your inquiry and assess your legal matter.
• To assign your case to the lawyer on our team who specializes in the relevant area of law.
• To contact you in order to follow up on, manage and handle your request and, where applicable, provide you with our legal services.
• To verify the information and prevent improper or fraudulent use.

4. Secondary purposes

In addition, and only if you do not express your objection, we may process your data to:

• Send you useful legal information, updates and content.
• Conduct satisfaction surveys and improve our services.
• Statistical and internal analysis purposes.

If you do not want your data to be used for these secondary purposes, you may notify us at any time at contacto@letrados.mx. Your refusal will not be grounds for denying you the primary service.

5. Internal processing and data transfers

Your personal data is processed internally by the firm and its lawyers for the purpose of handling your matter. We do not transfer your data to third parties outside the firm, except where legally required (for example, in response to requests from a competent authority under Article 37 of the LFPDPPP) or where we have your express consent. Where applicable, we may rely on service providers (for example, technology or storage providers) that act as data processors and handle the data solely on behalf of and under the instructions of the firm.

6. Legal basis for processing

The processing of your data is based on your consent and on the need to comply with the legal relationship arising from the handling of your inquiry and the provision of our services, in accordance with Articles 6, 7, 8 and 36 of the LFPDPPP.

7. ARCO rights and how to exercise them

As the data owner, you have the right to Access your personal data, Rectify it when it is inaccurate, Cancel it when you consider it is no longer required, and Object to its processing (ARCO rights, the data-owner rights granted under Mexican law). You may also revoke the consent you have given.

To exercise any of these rights, send a request to contacto@letrados.mx stating your name, a means to receive our response, a copy of an identification document proving your identity, and a clear description of the data and the right you wish to exercise. We will respond within the timeframes established by the LFPDPPP.

8. Use of cookies and tracking technologies

Our site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure site usage and improve your experience. You can disable cookies from your browser settings, although some features may be affected.

9. Means to limit use or disclosure

In addition to the ARCO rights, you may request that your data be included in our internal exclusion list to limit its use or disclosure for marketing purposes by writing to contacto@letrados.mx.

10. Changes to the Privacy Notice

This notice may be amended at any time to address legislative, internal or service-related changes. Updates will be available on this same page, indicating the date of last update. We recommend that you review it periodically.
